Skein Queen is a small independent producer of hand-dyed yarns on high quality fibres based near Newbury in Berkshire, UK. Whether you are looking for a special sock yarn, a silk-merino wool blend for stunning shawls or silk-mohair fluffiness, we stock a variety of their lovely yarns from lace weight up to DK weight.

I love Skein Queen yarns for their saturated and beautifully balanced colours. Whether you want something with soft and subtle pastel shades or a real zing of deep, bright punchy colours there is a colourway to suit you. 

I order in limited batches and try to vary the shades each time as they have a huge amount of standard colourways for offer. If you are after something in particular that we don't currently have in stock, just let me know and I'll see if we can put it on our next order.
