This simple garter stitch shawl is knit from the bottom up, shaped with yarn over increases at either end of every right-side row and an easy lace motif running up the spine. The tassels are optional but really make this shawl!
I designed this with summer camping trips in mind and I can’t wait to pop it on for an evening around the campfire!
I’ve chosen BC Garn Summer In Kashmir, a sport weight yarn with beautiful softness and drape that is 90% organic cotton/10 cashmere.
- Gauge: 19st x 54rows = 10cm x 10cm or 4in x 4in after blocking
- Needles: 3.75mm needles or size needed to obtain gauge. I prefer to use a long circular needle 80-100cm long.
- Yarn: 3 balls of BC Garn Summer In Kashmir (90% Organic Cotton/10% Cashmere)
- Finished Dimensions: approx. 140cm wide x 54cm long including tassels
Pattern includes written and charted instructions for the lace panel.
